Here are a few quick stories for a slow Tuesday:

Freddy Adu is training at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.  He will rejoin Benfica this week but a source close to Adu has hinted that at least one Dutch club is interested in his services.  The source also assured that Adu’s next loan deal will not be a bench sitting experience like the one at Monaco. 

Joseph Ngwenya is set to return to MLS.  The former Columbus Crew and Houston forward is in negations with MLS to secure a return to the league.  The 28 year old has been floating around Europe since late 2007.  He played for Austrian side SK Austria Karnten before his contract was dissolved and he went on trial at Bayern Munich.  Ngwenya failed to earn a contract in Germany and signed for Turkish side Antalyaspor, but only made 3 appearances for the club.  The bright side of his European experience is that he was able to earn his first cap for Zimbabwe, four more caps followed in 2008.  

Houston Dynamo and US national team midfielder Ricardo Clark has sealed a deal with Livorno but won’t join the Italian club until January. Livorno’s pursuit of Galaxy’s Landon Donovan is on going but the Italian club understands that it must wait to sign the player.  

Benny Feilhaber scored the game winner for AFG Aarhus in the their 3-2 victory over Randers FC.  The goal is Feilhaber’s first official professional goal and the victory puts Aarhus in first place after two weeks of play. 

Alejandro Bedoya scored twice for Swedish side Orebro to earn the club a tie. The former Boston College standout scored his first goal late in the game to cut the opponents lead in half. He found the equalizer off a one time rocket with just seconds left in the game.

The Galaxy v. Barcelona match has sold 70,000 tickets.  It will be one of the most attended friendlies in the US this summer.  New Barcelona signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be with the club for the US tour, but there is no word if he will suit up or not.

Houston has been awarded the 2010 MLS All Star game. Houston has been one of the surprise markets in MLS. Houston has a passionate fanbases and is one of the most successful franchises in league.

Caracas striker Emilio Renteria is on the verge of signing for Columbus Crew.  The Venezuelan goal scorer had offers from Portugal and Chile but chose the US.  According to his agent the deal is close to being completed.

San Jose Earthquakes midfielder, Arturo Alvarez, is ready to switch to the El Salvadorian national team now that the new FIFA rule is in place.  After having success at the youth national team level for the US he has yet to get called into the full national team.  Alvarez is a talented left footed player, but is too inconsistent and drifts in and out of games.  Now 24, Alvarez is getting inpatient and is being lured by the possibility of starting for El Salvador right away.  El Salvador national team captain Ramon Sanchez, and Arturo Alvarez’s new teammate at San Jose, has stated that Alvarez would help the team in the current qualifiers.

Twenty year old American defender, Eric Lichaj, impressed in his first team debut with Aston Villa.  The club played a friendly against Spanish Club Malaga over the weekend.  Despite nerves before the game Lichaj performed well according to teammate Marc Albrighton.

    Great Stuff here. Interesting information on both well-know and not-known players. So, no move for Donavon this summer?
