USA U-20 TEAM LOSE 0-3 TO GERMANY
Kyle Davies - U-20 Team Captain
The US Team lost its first round robin game of the 2009 U-20 WorldCup to the Germany.
The US Team fell behind by 2 goals in the first half before regrouping at the half, and creating some opportunities in the 2nd half. We looked likely to score a goal in the 2nd half , but weren’t able to produce. The Germans found the 3rd goal in the 72nd minute to finish the game. It looks like it may be a difficult few games in Eygpt for our youngsters, especially if Coach Thomas Rongen can’t find a way to get our best players on the pitch. A few players that seemed to be lock starters (Duka and Arguez), were on the bench at the start of the game. Their inclusion as substitutes lead to an improved 2nd half performance for the US Team.

It was pretty poor display by our guys. Rongen got it wrong in a few spots on the pitch. I could see the logic of not starting Arguez, being that Arguez is an undisciplined prick who didn’t even make the roster until Garza got hurt. The problem is the kid can ball now Rongen has to start him.
Ownby what a disaster. The commentator said that Tony Taylor was in the mold of a Demarcus Beasley, I almost vomited. Ownby is in the mold of Beasley cause he sucks ass.
Jeffery, Taylor, Shea, Diskerud, Duka, and Arguez were solid. Hmmm . . . maybe they should all start next game.
