MLS BEST XI
The MLS Best XI has been released. You really can’t complain about these selections as they are all deserving. Here is the lineup:
Thornton (Chivas USA)
Cameron (Houston Dynamo) Conde (Chicago Fire) Marshall (Columbus Crew)
Joseph (New England Revolution)
De Rosario (Toronto FC) Holden (Houston Dynamo) Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy)
Ljungberg (Seattle Sounders FC)
Casey (Colorado Rapids) Cunningham (FC Dallas)
I probably would have picked Omar Cummings and Schelotto for the best XI. Stuart Holden had a break out year and I’m glad to see him recognized. De Rosario quietly had one of the best seasons in his career. It is a shame that Toronto can’t get it together and make the playoffs.

Good Stuff. Its interesting to see that even on a three-tiered Best XI lists, like the one at Du-Nord, that you don’t see any Rapids players except for our forwards. First of all, its good to have forwards that are these lists, although it would be nice if the Rapids had a midfielder and a defender that are on or near a top 3 Best XI lists as well. Colin Clark would have been a candidate with the season he was putting together prior to his injury. Lets hope he comes back in the same form after his rehab.
